In Living Color

I got a pleasant surprise yesterday when I got my most recent roll of film developed. Color! I could have sworn that both of my cameras had black and white film in them when I went down to the redwoods. As you can see, I was wrong. Starting with the kitties, the rest of the shots were all taken while I was wandering around the neighborhood trying to finish out the roll.

In other news, I just finished shooting my first roll of tri-x 400 film. It's my first time shooting with that kind of film, and with an ND filter on my lens. So hopefully those turn out well. If not, I've got five more rolls to figure out what I'm doing. I also recently found out that I can use hearing aid batteries to make the light meter work on my Canon FT, since the original mercury based batteries are no longer available. So that's pretty sweet.

up and over

Shortly after I got that new camera to replace my broken one, I broke it. It's fixed now thanks to the lovely people at Blue Moon. About a month ago I sprained my ankle really bad, so I've been stuck inside for most of August. Going a little stir crazy I scanned a bunch of old and random stuff. So you may be seeing some non-photo stuff, like that first picture up there. Or maybe not. We'll see. I have a little project I'm working on with my cell phone cam(which i admit is kind of lame), but I need to take way more pictures before that gets posted up. Till next time..

I bet you can't

Took a little roadtrip to Roseburg the other day. Some of the most interesting times in a while. From cliff jumping, to christian songwriters, to breaking into hot tubs, to heavy metal, to metting the coolest guys ever at a bar, to seeing a plane crash, to skateboarding, and feeding wild animals, just to name a few of the things that went down in those three days. One downside to the weekend was my camera's light leak has gotten pretty bad. I need to take it in, once I finish the roll that's in there, to get it fixed. Hopefully it wont take much to get it in good working condition again. Here's some shots from that little roadtrip down south.

it's that damn ankle again

So I'm laid up with a sprained ankle at the moment, so I'll probably be posting frequently in the next few days for lack of something better to do. If I'm going to be lurking on my computer, I might as well do something some what productive right? Another thing that will help those posts go up is that I got that scanner I talked about a few posts ago thanks to my mom, and birthday coming up. Thanks mom. This first post is made up of some photos that I have on my computer that I've taken in the past few months, that I've just never gotten around to posting before. Enjoy.

I was in the middle of cleaning my room and found this on the floor, and remembered I wanted to scan it. I have a lot of pictures of the cats in my neighborhood because they like to hang out in our yard. This one got named "Bandit". Back to cleaning now.
