47 Miles East

This has been a great month for getting outside and having adventures. I've gone on a ton of hikes, camped up on Mt. Hood, and just got back from a road trip out to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. I love the beauty that that part of the country contains. From the crystal clear streams, high deserts, hot springs, mountain peaks, dense forests, to all of the different kinds of wildlife. In the few days out there I shot nearly six rolls of film. I'm not sure if I'll do one mega post with all of the photos, or spread them out over time. I guess you'll just have to check back and find out.

Warm breezes

The warm weather seems to have come back to us recently. With that blessing of sunshine I've been able to get out with my camera a bit more and do some exploring. It's hard to beat Oregon in the summertime. I've got some hike planned for the next two months that should hopefully produce some pretty shots. These are mostly from trips to the Columbia River Gorge, and the last two are from a great spot up on the west side of Mt. Hood called Ramona Falls.

Oh look! Pictures!

No real theme to this post. Was just sitting around watching Team America on netflix and decided to something somewhat productive as well. These are some random ones from the time since the last post. Go figure right? Life around SE, a trip to the coast, and a drink on Mt. Hood. Some pictures of fire, and stuff from my trip down to the redwoods likely getting posted soon.

A different world above the tree line

Went up to Mt. Hood to try and do some camping last week. It would've been the highest elevation I would've ever camped at, but unfortunately, due delays and mix-ups, I only ended up doing a long day hike. Although I didn't get to camp like I wanted, it was still my first time to Timberline Lodge. A really neat place, with lots of history, and amazing views. I want to go back soon and actually spend the night away from all of the city lights. At least I know the mountain isn't going anywhere soon.

Can You Walk Single File?

This post is a little bit of a mish mash of subjects that were all on my most recent roll. Looking out from Sherrard Point at the top of Larch Mountain. The Lost Lockets return home from tour show. How cool is it that they use machetes as instruments? Then a few from a walk out High Bridge at Eagle Creek, and then finally one from my new favorite warm up spot. Until next time.
