A Lost Roll

Today while I was doing laundry, I started thinking about the blog, that turned into looking through some of my photos from the last few months, and the realization that in the excitement to share my photos from my trip out to Wyoming and Montana, I had neglected some other rolls that I had planned to post. This set is from a roll that I shot last summer. This mishmash of photos includes a show at the The Pied Cow, a hike to Triple Falls, a Lost Lockets music video shoot, and another hike up to Mirror Lake. Coming up next time, probably either stuff from PDX POP fest, or some stuff from skate demos at Ed Benedict Skatepark.

Warm breezes

The warm weather seems to have come back to us recently. With that blessing of sunshine I've been able to get out with my camera a bit more and do some exploring. It's hard to beat Oregon in the summertime. I've got some hike planned for the next two months that should hopefully produce some pretty shots. These are mostly from trips to the Columbia River Gorge, and the last two are from a great spot up on the west side of Mt. Hood called Ramona Falls.

This is the season of the fire

After a mild winter, it's starting to warm up here in the city. It feels like spring, but I can't help to think that there will be a good storm/cold snap before the new season really kicks in. These shots are from the roll that I referenced in the last post. The last of my tri-x from winter. These shots will take you past Ecola Falls, the little waterfall at the viewpoint on top of Multnomah Falls, Mirror Lake, a foggy SE night, Council Crest, and  lunch in a snow cave near Trillium Lake. Color shots next time maybe, but none of this is planned.

Just got a new roll developed and was all ready to post shots from that roll until I was looking at my hard drive and realized that I never posted up anything from this roll that you see here. I feel like I'm starting to get the hang of shooting tri-x with a filter. Just in time too, since I just threw a color roll in my Pentax. Maybe this is why I can't have nice things? If you frequent this blog, or at least browsed through some of the older posts, you'll notice Eagle Creek again. If you haven't been and live in Oregon, or Southern Washington, I highly recommend it. Try to catch it on a weekday if you can, it can get pretty busy on weekends. Next time expect some pictures of snow. Whenever that will be.

A different world above the tree line

Went up to Mt. Hood to try and do some camping last week. It would've been the highest elevation I would've ever camped at, but unfortunately, due delays and mix-ups, I only ended up doing a long day hike. Although I didn't get to camp like I wanted, it was still my first time to Timberline Lodge. A really neat place, with lots of history, and amazing views. I want to go back soon and actually spend the night away from all of the city lights. At least I know the mountain isn't going anywhere soon.

Keep Rollin Rollin Rollin

Some nice days, some rainy days, and even some snowy days lately. Luckily this erratic weather provides some interesting fodder for new shots. This roll is from some of the nicer days in February and early March. This was the same roll that had those two shots from Eagle Creek in the last post. The rest of these are from walking around my neighborhood on some of those nice winter days.

In other news, I'll soon be a contributor to a new blog. A bunch of skateboarders from around Europe, the U.S., and possibly South America, will each be representing a city, and posting art, or photos based on a theme each month. I think posts will be going up every couple of days from a different city.
