Warm breezes

The warm weather seems to have come back to us recently. With that blessing of sunshine I've been able to get out with my camera a bit more and do some exploring. It's hard to beat Oregon in the summertime. I've got some hike planned for the next two months that should hopefully produce some pretty shots. These are mostly from trips to the Columbia River Gorge, and the last two are from a great spot up on the west side of Mt. Hood called Ramona Falls.

It's been a while.....

Got a little bummed when I saw this little guy today.

But it really wasn't that bad, because he looked pretty cool. This other little guy, that happened to be right by my formerly flightless friend, also helped me keep smiling.

It's a gray sunday today. Thick clouds, cool thick air, and the possibility of thunderstorms later. Luckily I've got a roof over my head, and a few cups of coffee in my belly. Today I'm continuing with the dead bird theme that's been taking over the blog as of late. Our dog Spyke took out this little robin one day in the backyard. Tim buried it after we took these pictures. It's all good since our little buddy Mohommad's chicks have hatched and we have new life in the backyard.

Three on the ground, one on the fence

This little guy was lying on the side of Burnside for a couple of days before I got around to skating over and taking some pictures. I'm really surprised he was still in such good condition. Figure a cat or some bugs would've torn him up a little bit more. Can't keep it all about dead birds though so I threw in that little guy that was hanging out with me for a while down at burnside. He got even closer than he was in the photo, but when I tried to get another picture he flew away.
